If you’re interested in Christian mission, tradition and inculturation in Asia, join Dr Todd Godwin, Cleric Sean Todd and Fr Thomas Plant on the Liturgical Asia podcast. Hailing from Old Catholic and Anglican traditions, we are united in our vision of the Church as liturgical, moulding souls to Christ through the beauty of holiness inherited in the Apostolic tradition.

We are also sympathetic to Asian religious philosophy and practice, and seek to move the Church in Asia beyond simply translating European culture, aesthetics and music into another language, a process which risks sidelining or erasing the ancient spiritual riches of Asia.

Through our discussions, we hope to tread the narrow path between undesirable syncretism or appropriation, and find ways of genuine inculturation of Christian orthodoxy into Asian liturgical and broader artistic modes.

We do not claim to have all the answers to these difficult questions, but we think they are worth asking, and we are going to find people who can talk to us and help us on the way.

Come and join the conversation.
